your view is the overwhelming stereotype for people of his calibre. But part of his greatness is his refusal to be bound by his genius to one type of life. He is just interested in having fun (as well as doing science on the side to keep his wits sharp), which probably leads to a more fulfilling life than most hardcore scientists. As long as hes happy, thats all that counts - his talents arent for the world to snatch

that is such a good idea but he is still the greatest actor ever and it isn't your choice to decide what career he does, besides he also continues to provide Industrial Light & Magic with technology for groundbreaking effects for more than 30 films.

You would think a guy as genius as him, like 180 or something, would be more beneficial to society in smart areas like science&technology, rather than stupid ones like television acting. All he does is go YATTA! You can get any Japanese actor to do that. His talents are wasted.
