I have about eight instruments that need to be set up before we ship them on Monday, so I decided to take advantage of the moment and film a banjo setup workshop. In this video I'll go over changing a banjo head, stringing a banjo, placing the bridge and setting the neck angle. At over 30 minutes, I had to seriously compress this workshop to get it on YouTube. I really enjoyed watching your video, very informative and you certainly get the message across that there is nothing to worry about if we follow your excellent instructions. Also enjoyed your playing, thank you.

hey Patrick! Just wanted to let you know I enjoy your lessons and videos, just one thing. Tap tuning IS possible, except it works better if you scratch your fingernail over the head and listen for the tone. It may be different for frailing banjos because they may be at a lower tension than bluegrass/resonator banjo, but it is possible to tap tune :)

Is it a friction peg?

My 5th string won't stay in tune.I get it to G but then it justs goes down as fast as i let go of the tuner.
