although pilates does not burn fat directly, it will build muscle and therefore metabolism. the more muscle you have, the more calories (or energy) your muscles use to complete even the simplest tasks. what I'm saying is that if you build your muscle, you will burn more and more calories (and therefore lose fat) when you work out, walk, run, even sleep.

They burn very little. This is strength training; it only tones. If you're looking to get rid of the fat, try cardio with bits of strength training mixed in. :)

i do these exercises at least 3 times a week and you DEFinitely see results fast. Once these moves start getting easier and you start memorizing them, continue doing them even when she pauses for an even more intense workout!
