Damn guys, just sit back and enjoy the wonderful universe we live in

Hmmmmm, good point. I would agree that some physical means of transfering information is needed for telepathy to work. But the question remains, how cold you observe this transference? It just sounds like it would be difficult.

Yes, but how do the two mind connect? They have to send waves of some kind. Just like a radio or television.
AllahConsciousness (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
That sounds quite interesting and probable, but it may be that telepathy is the result of a person's connectedness with a "web of consciousness" where they can simply "tune in" to a person's thoughts like changing a channel or typing in a web address.

I also theorized that these impulse patterns are able to leave nearby matter and travel through space in a still organized pattern. Such as sending a group of pulses in your mind out of your head, through the air, and into another person's mind. Like telepathy. Electromagnetic impulses are able to stay in patterns naturally, but we have yet to observe one such pattern from a human mind with so much complexity.

If the "seat" of consciousness is energy, could this energy possibly retreat from whence it came when it can no longer interact with the material? Could it retreat into the subatomic dimensions maybe?
So the question is, do we forever not percieve, or is this finite physical perception indicative of some sort of eternal perception? I personally can't understand perpetual void, but more power to you if that's what you believe.

Oh boy... that's a tough one. Well, my theory is that your mind is made up of those electrical impulses and chemicals, but what many fail to see is that our "consciousness" is, in fact, the knowledgeable manafestation of these impulses. The trick is fully realizing it. We are, in a mental sense, energy. Our thoughts are waves, pulses, and interactions of small energy particles. We are no more than an ultra complex, matter/energy fusion.

I agree that I went over-board as well, but every now and again you need to get over-board with your ideas in order to encourage unique thoughts about what is going on.
I would really love to know why I am "aware." Why isn't this body of mine just going on without "me" being tied to it? Or does this "me" not really exist? Is it just some illusion caused by the temporary fat between my ears? This is something I would like to know so I can live my life accordingly.

Well you went a little over-board with the wording, but I think you're entirely right about that. E=mc2... it's all tied in.
