Great Train Journeys with Victoria Wood tv series (broadcast on national TV) featured the cafe at Malton station 10 years before this video was filmed.

a few things have changed in the last 2 years. Completely new trains now serve this station since September 2006, the doors to the ticket hall have been replaced by sliding automatic ones, and CCTV has been installed.

I remember when there was an overall NER roof. I videoed 5305 in 1985 when the roof was still in situ - I'll upload it asawp. Nice steady picture - I emjoyed it.
