I'm right there with ya on that! Even up into the 90's MTV was still "decent". I remember seeing an Allman Brothers, and a Stevie Ray Vaughn unplugged. The only time they will mention these bands anymore is if someone dies, or they take an award away from Kanye West! Bring back Closet Classics!!

This music IS the drug.
I saw them in Martini hall in Groningen Holland in 1974.
The flow never stops ever since.

Lol "Stevie Stoned" comment! If you notice Stevie sang the wrong verse in the second verse, and also the drummer (Roger Hawkins) keeps playing as if the flute solo is continuing when it had been over for a couple of measures. Definitely the effects of marijuana on the brain. Anyway, I remember smoking big fatties to this video several times. Now, clean and sober at 31, I can say it sounds better than ever. Drugs are not needed to enjoy this music. Thanks for this wonderful post.

Show that age. I remember watching MTV's Classic Closet. It was how I was introduced to Traffic, Pacific Gas & Electric and King Crimson. MTV was useful for something back then.

It's wonderful to see this again. I haven't seen this footage since the days in which MTV would not only play videos, but even feature classic rock clips one hour a day, no less.
Am I showing my age, or what? :-o
