not really. the allied superior was overwhelming. in the air 50:1. the "luftwaffe" was since the big battles at stalingrad and kursk non-existing. they need 9 hours and 3 waves of infantry to storm omaha but at the other landing areas it wents faster. the only chance of the germans were the tanks in the backcountry but hitl er this stupid fool forbade to aploy them. (sorry for bad english)

damn! everytime i see videos, movies and tv shows about d-day, it horrifies me how many fuckin allied soldiers died that day. i saw some interviews with some d-day survivors, and i wonder, how on earth is that possible, surviving that big ass massacre. and how do those survivours live with their past experiences. seeing d-day in a movie is probably 1/100th of what it was really like concerning, deaths, etc.

why allways in american films, the german soldiers where made so stupid, they fight as hard as everyone other soldier from which country ever, and i also think, this should never happen again, war is terrible.
