why is camstudio lossless codec 2.71 gig?

Hi, Wondering if you can help me. I've recorded a video using camstudio with the Lossless codec but it only plays the audio in Windows media player/Windows Movie Maker and says it can't find the video codec in other video editing packages. I've run Sherlock and the codec is installed fine it just seems WMP/WMM can't use it to display video - can you suggest anything I can do to fix this ? Thanks

what does lossless code mean. And is there a way to install this without admin permission. Help would be really great...thanks p.s. I have vista ultimate.

yes this codec is better but use DIVX Or XVID Even Better

o.k if your extract all files for that codec is there supposed to be a compressed folder extrxtion wizard?
