Asian Productivity Organization
The Asian Productivity Organization (APO) was established by Convention on 11 May 1961 as a regional intergovernmental organization. Its mission is to contribute to the socioeconomic development of Asia and the Pacific through enhancing productivity. The meaning of productivity has evolved and expanded over the years from simply producing quality products at minimum cost to the improvement of the quality of life for all. The character of the APO is nonpolitical, nonprofit, and nondiscriminatory.
