That Pirouette Looked fugly,
arabesqueenpointe (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
that's the worst pirouette I've ever seen!!!!!!! No question. And by the way ballet looks prettier, jazz looks ugly that's why we say her turn looks horrible. CAUSE IT IS.

For those of you who keep addressing the issue of her leg not being turned out, I hope you realize that there is a difference between a ballet pirouette and a jazz pirouette. Obviously all things ballet are in a turned out position, as for Jazz the moves are turned in, like the one the girl is doing.

that was horrible her leg came up to her knee at like the end of the turn it has to ziip up to the kneee by the time u turn a quarter turn

i think ballet pirouettes are easier when you start in 5th prep to 4th and then i can do more turns that way. these were jazz pirouettes n i even do ballet pirouettes in jazz sometimes!

Actually cokacok, it can be done either way. In jazz it is done when the leg in passe is closed, and in ballet the leg in passe is open to the side. :D |
