If you're interested in electric cars really hitting the road, check out the Climate Solutions Road Tour -- we'll be travelling 3500 kilometers across India in our solar electric vehicles -- you can find us if you search India Climate Solutions!!

the use of lion compared to nimh is crap.. sure they are lighter.. but they are also more sensitive to beeing over discharged also tend to like to explode when ppl will start buying cheep china copies when the notice the battery pack costs like a new car to change..

this proves you don't have to wait for GM to give you a vehicle that you need !
yeah they have the volt but is just a PHEV=Hybrid with a 1.4 liter petrol engine to generate electricity
so ur still gonna buy spark plugs, belts hoses, alternator, starter, motor oil, tune ups, oil changes, filters, just like a regular car so whats new ?

Been thinking of doing an electric conversion job with a friend on an '85 Pontiac Firebird - we'd have to rip out pretty much all the old stuff, re-work the suspension and floor, throw in racing seats, etc, but we could probably make it light enough to run quite nicely on electricity.
Some would call it rape. I'd call it a kickass drag car. :)

Electric vehicles were the fastest in the world back in 1898/1899.
Lead acid batteries and a big ol electric motor. What more do you need? B-)
Towing back to the start for more batteries probably. ;-)

maybe one day there will be commercially built electric cars that are just like petrol cars. if tesaco hadn't bought out a key nimh battery company things would probably be very different. they had got the battery to out last the life of a car and were cheaper than a ice.

The Volt isn't even real...your golfcart is...they still won't acknowledge NiMH proven EV propulsion and are attempting LiON...an odd thing to do when their stock is below $5 a share!

Nicola Tesla's car used a battery switching trick which makes the batteries self charging. Google "Tesla Switch", and positive results and replications are found on overunity website. |
