the academy awards snubbed him for best supporting actor in the majority of his roles though, especially in the godfather II he should've won for that.. it's a shame because he was an amazing actor.

A wonderful tribute to a wonderful actor! I just became a fan of John Cazale after watching the Godfather and Dog Day Afternoon. The other movies he was in are great as well, and are classics! Thanks for making this :)

John Cazale is one the best actors of all time. Consider all 5 of his only 5 films Cazale made were all nominated for Academy Awards for Best Picture, (6 films, if one counts the Godfather III old footage). Great actors like Nicholson, Brando, De Niro, go whole careers and maybe get 5 or 6 films they were in nominated for best picture...Cazale was always a very important secondary character in every film he was in.
