I've owned 'em all , at one time or another . From org. H&K , FN-FAL ,to Polytech M14 / Springfield Armory Ultra Match . My advice is this ...buy the parts , and get pro help in/ during assembly . ( indexing / timing the barrel to the upper , threading the muzzle brake ) Concerning the brake - Zero Climb by Enterprise is the best ...hands down . Spend your money learning how to shoot the weapon , then buy a B-square top cover and a decent scope . You'll be amazed at what you can do .

The First time i heard the Klak of the AK47 also a 7.62 round it was seconds after the round had passed through a few trees and was still sounding hungry,Kissing mother earth in a heart beat was so easy. But it was not until we returned fire with the same round that things got quiet. If any weapon becomes more deadly then what i lived through personaly no ones getting anyone from my family to fight for Jew,Anyways thanks for the reply an be safe always. And the 5.56 is a big BB not the Death

I have a semi-auto CZ 858 (A civilian version of the Czech Sa 58), and the 7.62x39 does have a loud report. I can only imagine that being fired in rapid succession, and I can understand you there. The .308 has good range and accuracy (As does its parent cartridge, the 30.06), while the 7.62x39 has a lower recoil, allowing you to put more lead downrange much faster. The 5.56 is an attempt to find a compromise between the two, but at the cost of stopping power.

I have to agree USC, the 308 was one shit kicker, It could easly cut through several sand bags go tanget and with todays magnesium soft core tungstin tiped a riffle squad could chew an Abrams M1 battle tank which is why the Soviets just increased the capacity of the amunition for the AK which still scares the shit out of me when i hear that one fire.

Actually, make that most popular to least.

If I had to rank the 7.62 x 51 mm NATO rifles from least to most popular I would rank the top three as such: 1. FN FAL 2. H&K G3 3. M14

me too!that's why we haven't changed here in Argentina...you may need that extra power..and for the recoil...well our army trains you NOT to complain about it :P if you can't fire it in full auto...you will patrol that night
