my hero dan rocks. a person with his experience would know not to even climb on a rope thats been left in the weather. i think something fishy went on that day he died. if he was that silly he would have died alot earlyer. rip dan you wont be forgotten

ya after his 1100 ft record breaking jump he said he was done jumping and climbing for awhile. he wanted to spend time the with family. he went back three weeks later to his record breaking location in yosemite to get all the gear he had left behind. he decided to do one late jump... and the rope which had be sitting outside the whole time snapped.

The rope that broke on him had been sitting outside for a month, or so i read.
