Met him the night Rodkill played nagma for him, Uttam ji was not only an execelent tabla player but an extremely down to earth person, i even picked up a few things from him and was supposto fix his baya cause at the end of a sarod performance it fell apart...R.I.P

A great soul that would be missed. I had the honor of playing lehara for him recently and when I heard the news it was like an arrow hitting me in my heart. Yes he will be missed by all of us. :(
