i like to see some one who can play that bit without closing their eyes.

Brilliant! James Last was a marvellous band leader. I say "was" because I think he's now retired (anybody confirm that?) ... I hope not. And Derek Watkin's trumpet skill is wondrous.

I agree he is good... but closing your eyes only shows that you are concentrating on the sound, it doesn't mean you have a more natural feeling for music.

What is that microphone at 2:50? I have one that looks just like that but it's relatively new - AudioTechnica AT2020.
