I am pretty sure. I know a ton of videos on YouTube of people covering The Smiths on Rickenbackers. I am sure if you got on Yahoo and did a search of Johnny Marr's gear, it would be pretty easy to find out. Thanks for watching. :)

Cool. Is this the same guitar johnny marr used when he was in the smiths? it has a really distinctive sound.

Delay is the most important pedal to get for dreampop. You can use lots of reverb too. Chorus can add a lot to the sound as well. It all depends on your budget and what you want. You could go with a couple Boss pedals, or a digital processor, or you could get upper end handmade boutique analog pedals. But, delay, reverb, and chorus are a good start, no matter which direction you go.

I want to recreate these spacey, dreamy effects... what pedals and delay would I need to use and also how much money would be spent to get this spacey, dreamy 80's sounds so reminiscent of The Chameleons, Cocteau Twins, etc.. THANKS!!!
