It's accurate as hell. I just installed it and use it with FSX and am getting ArmA this week. Freetrack works great. There are tons of options, you can make it as accurate and sensitive as you want. Just get a good web cam. I'm using the MS vx-3000. Make sure you run freetrack "as administrator" if you're using vista. Otherwise it wont work properly.

Awesome, great find there.

Well... it's not very accurate. I tried it one year ago, and didn't like it enough. It's useful when flying in choppers and planes, but in infantry, I prefer to press Alt and move the head with my mousse.

Oh damn...... I just bought trackIR... If i knew this was on the go I might have tried this instead. Does it work as well as trackIR?

u can use IR leds with a free-track system too.

I too like TrackIR for the mere fact that it's infrared, so I don't have to play with the lights on like I assume you have to with Free Track. But FT is a lot cheaper if you already have a camera.

Looks great. I'm not regretting my purchase of a TrackIR 4 though. Any head tracking hardware is highly recommended if you play ANY type of simulation. |
