I agree with almost everything John said here I hope I'll be able to raise my children that way. if you arent willing to love them unconditionally, just dont have any. PS I was looking through the comments for some opinions on this particular scene and most I find are posts about american history and I I even read something about blood plasma. how the hell does that relate to this scene. if you wnna talk about thse things do that on vids about that particular subject or visit a forum.

Me & my sister made a promise to each other of these words, should we forget how we hate the guilt our own parents inflict on us. Hope that we become mothers that do all they can for their children, but expect nothing in return, expect the very best for them & from them. Not even gratitude, just love. Because it is the thing I hate the most about my relationship with my parents, the constant: "After all I've done for you." Maybe one day we'll have to scream this speech at our parents.

I totally agree. I want to yell this speech at my parents and everyone who acts as if their children OWE them for raising them and caring for them, when THAT'S WHAT THEY SHOULD BE DOING. When I have children, I will give them all my love and everything I have and expect NOTHING in return, because they are MY responsibility.

This movie is about the fact that people are EQUAL even if they are not the same. It doesn't matter the color or religion, people are people. They feel the same as they breathe the same. And that is what matters. To be able to judge people on their merrits and not their appearance, that might be the closest to utopia we on earth might ever get.

Since when do black men obsess over white women? Most people marry within there race. You are just using stereotypes. I could as easily claim that white men obsess over asian women. Or that white women are the ones obsessing over black men! My father wasn't making a statement with my mother. They loved each other. You are so paranoid.

Dummy, about 90% or more of the blacks I know are southern baptist. I don't know where you're meeting all these catholic and muslim blacks, lol.

how can that be true if there are interracial relationships? wouldn't that mean that some blacks LOVE whites? Also your idea that race mixing is genocide make no sense. The children have both black and white genes they could marry a white person and have blonde children. Also you did say that black don't realize their religion comes from Martin luther. So when I pointed out the black muslims, catholics and jews I was showing how your statement besides being stupid, was also false.
