Yeah, I agree. I love this song and this band, but they shouldn't play this song unless his vocals are distorted. Along with this, I wish SP would apply Hiwatt's remix. It sounds great.

I just don't see Skinny Puppy having the same effect playing outdoors. Also Orge vocals on this sound out of place because they're not all distorted up.

its somehow sounds better..

GWOTR-tour costume looked great in daylight! I loved it. It was late afternoon and it rained a bit xD the sun wasn't this bright..

Actually, I think the vocals are damn good when you get used to them. They're less distorted and screamy, so it sounds odd at first if you're used to the studio/older live versions, but Ogre is actually surprisingly on pitch and there are some cool nuances which I like.
Hardcore fans probably won't admit it, but Ogre's vox have been much shittier in some of the older more "classic" Puppy performances.

The whole blood thing just doesn't look good in daylight. I think the GWOTR-tour costumes would have looked cool in the day though.

wonder if that Sheven was still in that band .. I heard he worked at Zoolo Records in Vancouver ?? back in the day ??

I don't know what you guys are talking about... The performance was great. No one expects Ogre to "sing." He sounds fine, and this song sounds awesome no matter how you cut it. I think this is awesome.
But yeah, the problem was that this tour didn't work in bright sunlight because it relied so much on careful lighting and shadows. The sun screwed it all up.
So... "What the hell have you got to say?" |
