Lol this iPod made me laugh.Compared to my iPod touch 2g,this is crap.But hey this was in 2001 so i cant say it was crap before,in 2001,this was the future!!

WOW technology has improved alot since these 7 years. an IPod Touch is thinner and smaller than this and lighter too with more memory and battery power. Plus, its more advanced with the touch screen and its many applications. It can even surf the web!

Nope. USB 2 is just a wee bit slower than Firewire 400. Firewire 800 is far better. In addition, they were using a "cost per space" estimate. In addition, this was a low key event, with members of the press as opposed to fans of Apple.

cd players cost 75!?!? mp3s were 10$ a song!? holy crap! this is the first apple event ive ever saw where they dont clap after every word steve says and arent firewires slower than usb 2.0s now?
