If a person have excessive oil on scalp and inflamation, and respond well to laser to normalise that, he will have some benefit to hair, but it's not like the laser would act in the causes of androgenetic alopecia, and the benefit will be lost in near future, since the androgenetic alopecia it's progressive due sensibility of hair to DHT. If you want totreat androgenetic alopecia you need to fight DHT.

Dr Allan Feller, respectable doctor, don't believe in laser for hairgrow. He said it's just marketing to get money from desperated consumers. The FDA approval it's a third class approval, 510K as called, and only it's about the laser comb be safe, unharmfull, to use, and not about effectiveness to treat hair-loss. It just help reduce excessive oil on scalp, and reduce inflamations.

i thought they [from my readings] said the comb was one of a very few proven to have results.

The laser was not really approved for androgenetic hairloss. It was approved just as a safe device to use, since it was the 510K approval, a kind of approval that don't have really value.
