Hey... it's ok you don't understand, but actually having ur hands down makes it much easier to do high speed kicks. If you concentrate on defending, AND try to react for the coutner attack at the moment the other guy attacks you, it is much more probable that you won't hit with the counter and there is also high probability that you get KOed, because for kicks to the head are really hard to stop with only your hands... ;)

yea i agree with u in some points i do taekwondo but every time i kick or someone kick me i always try to block the kick the problem is that sometimes when you are trying to kick u leave your deffens down then the other guy just wait until that moment and then you are dead (KO) thats the problem :S:S:S
