very true, and i think that the v10 isn't quite right for a M5, specially since it is well a sports saloon, but it isn't just about mileage, its how u drive the car and i've seen some impressive mileages from a M5 but i won't see much improvent since its so heavy, i'm a big german car fan and a few good American cars do past by my face so ya, i'm a german petrol head. For its worth, z06 is a solid piece of work.

I dont know exact figures, but I know the corvette doesnt get a gas guzzler tax, which is combined gas milage above 24 or 25 and the m5 has a v10 in it hauling alot more weight with much less torque to cruise at low rpm, im not saying that the z06 is better, but it does use less gas, and plus, the z06 handles very well and im tired of people saying otherwise just because its from america.

Bimmers are classy but they are really great cars, The M5 is a sports saloon, not like the Vette, which is a sports car. The real place for Vettes are on Tracks but on the road it isn't the best. The M5 could get beat by the vette in a straight e but in everythin else, the Eyupean cars trump over the American cars. Espically with the gas at like $4 now, the M5 is the way to go. If u want comfort space for 5, fast car, moderate mileage, and a awesome german car, the BMW is always top notch.
