Yes we can definitely agree to disagree. I don't disagree with you that marketing is they key to this business all I stated is that no matter how much you market someone, they have to be talented in something to have SOME longevity. Yeah okay, I know this industry too :/ ... You're right check ACE db, 98% of his songs he's with 3 or more other people. I'm not speaking of one hits like Lou Bega, or overnight girl/boy bands as failed investments, those guys are the perfect one hits churned out in a month. You should watch this movie, or at least this clip starting at 0:08 - 00:26 about writing+credits thats how this marketed industry we're speaking of. we could argue all day lets leave this as is.
