You were probably using grappling and infighting tricks by some obscure mma fighters dubbed "Masterminds" One of the tricks the US army knows for getting out of headlocks involves you actually cartwheeling out of the hold....I read WW2 combatives and back in that era they utilize fighting techniques from Japan mainly the karate chop strikes as well as Japanese jiu jitsu.

most of the shit they got in the U.S & canada doesn't work in the real world accept for some S.F and then some, the israeli have the best system..it works just like this.

I'm a MAC (Modern Army Combatives)Competitor in the U.S. Army, I went a match with a Japanese JSDF soldier and won by a landslide. Don't get me wrong, I think their system is awsome.
