it would've been difficult to rewrite system 1's environment (written for the 68k) for the 8086/8088, however i wouldn't put it past m$ for such a thing; they did take off with the os/2 code and ran with it as their own

BOTH are innovators. BOTH, in their respective fields. Bill was ahead of his time to know Software was the future. Even Jobs recognizes that. And Jobs was an amazing innovator in style. Both are greats, not to mention the people who worked with them who never got the recognigiton !!

you're wrong microsoft's blue screen problem cannot associated with apple. yes they did copy from apple but that was based on the phototype source code. after windows 1.0 they had completely saperated their devolopment with apple's partnership and making stuff on their own so it is not saying that apple should be responsible for microsoft's error. it's just microsoft wasnt able to completed that copy of mac os from the beginging. like steve said microsoft wasnt good enought to handle or copy it.
