I love XTC. One of my three favorite bands of all time. I think that this is one of the most passionate songs I have ever heard. Unfortunately, I hurt for Andy. I am a Christian. Yes I believe that Jesus Christ is the risen Son of God and Man. I hear the total passion for someone Andy Partridge "believes that is non existant". Why not write and sing a song about Santa. Here is one for all non believers....Please respond. Why does no one say "Oh my Satan" Dammit..god Satan" You say....

Collection of knowledge is different from insight. Sure we have computes and can view matter and the universe at uprecedented resolution.The big questions:truth,virtue,free will,creation, extent of the universe and its dimensionality are just seen through a different paradigm. I'm an engineer I love math but I am really surprised at some of its short commings. In the bible there is very deep meditaion on the big questions.The true inspiration came when men first asked these questions.

You DO know christianity is based of Paganism right? Most of the holiday's are pagan origin as the idea of the Devil is supposedly based on the Green man. =]

...If man evolved from lower species isn't it ironic that men would continue to consume lower species without entitlement of cannibalism. More strange is that Mr. Columbus knew the world was round because he read it in the Bible. Simply amazing how a book that was written many years before the dawn of civilization can only be vindicated by the most current sciences mankind has yet evolved to..

Alright, all I ask is prove it. Yours sounds like anecdotal evidence. You had an experience, only applicable to you. If what you're suggesting is you saw a bible and _knew_ there was a god, that's not really evidence of anything. The bible itself isn't even evidence of anything and has no extrascriptural sources to attest to it's validity.
