dude Hooker with a penis is one of my favorite songs ever and ur right prlly best band metal wise ever sitll together yes Tool is best band but man Pantera albums before 101 Proof were fuckin epic and godly creations of lyrics and legendary instrumentals to complete it all to 1 giant fuckin pantera masterpiece but tho theyre done and gone TOOL is and will be the best MAYNERD IS A GOD of Music!!!

I agree with that Rush comment. I'm not sure Tool will have that same ill fate, though. They just take a different type of person to really listen and like what they put out. I miss being able to blast Tom Sawyer with a couple friends in the car and be looked at by peers like we were crazy. Now it's just, that one song from Rock Band... I spent more time explaining Rush, but Tool is pretty damn good! I got told to learn this song, haven't looked back yet.

I've been a Tool fan since my brother played Opiate for my 10 year old ass in '91. As a Tool fan, I sometimes would like more, but doesn't any fan. They don't release lyrics because they want us to interpolate the music for ourselves. Find your own meaning. Though Maynard has probably the best voice in rock, etc. Adam is the real genius behind Tool. He's a very underrated guitarist and artist. I do listen to Isis, etc. However there is a reason other bands (such as Isis) OPEN for Tool!

All of Tool's songs are amazing, but the videos and lyrics are a bit disturbing. Eh, who cares. Tool is an awesome band, and anyone who thinks otherwise shouldn't even be listening to this.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. I mean there are a couple bands where I like maybe one song that I heard from a game, but I dont go around acting like I love the band. But maybe it'll be different. I mean, we all start with just one song we like right? First song I heard from Tool was Schism like 5 years ago. I liked a coupe others songs my dad happened to have on the computer, then I finally decided to listen to the 9 minute Lateralus.... Tool's been my favorite band ever since.

idk where i live theres alot of scene and emo kids so i fit in with the stoners and prog nerds more :p.but as for the guitar hero 4 thing i dont know i mean it may sound selfish but i think not everyone should be able to listen to tool. it kinda pisses me off when ppl start liking bands but they really only like the song from a game ex. rush :(. maybe its where i live but too many rush posuers just sause of tom sawyer or yys. (great songs but still) :p

Yeah, there definetely not underated. It kinda depends where you live to as to how many people know them. I live in southwest Iowa, and let me tell ya, not so many Tool fans around. Most of it is because we only here Vicarious or Schism on the radio. Which is great, but I really don't think many people around here can really absorb the real deep Tool stuff e.g. Lateralus, Third Eye or D/R/T. Too many people seem content with bands like Hinder or stupid emo crap. Fall Out Boy can burn in hell.
