sheene is totally overrated. he won 2 world championships, but he's way down the list of all time greats. once the yanks came along (and i don't like yanks), he was shown up for his limitations. he was an arrogant twat too.

What SHITE you talk 'as 4 joey he only won at isle of man'. He still holds the world record for TT wins, has won the Ulster Grand Prix 24 times. Has won countless road races across the Republic of Ireland. In Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. Many in various european countries also. AND - In 1986 he won a FIFTH CONSECUTIVE FORMULA ONE world title. DON'T DARE EVER SAY AGAIN THAT JOEY ONLY WON AT THE IoM. Ignorant fool.

I agree. My father's motorcylce heroes are Mike Hailwood and Mert Lawwill (only because my pops actually competed against Lawwill and says he is the best on a mile dirt track he's ever seen), so I heard more about Hailwood's talent than I ever would have otherwise. It's a shame that so many people won't know who you are referring to (at least in the U.S., where I live). How soon we forget/replace our legends.

its well seen you don't know much about joey dunlop, the list of races he won outside the isle of man are to long to write down now, so keep your gob shut in future reference or get your facts right. miss you loads joey!
