well a lot of this stuff is just minor pentatonics, with a little bit of the minor harmonic thrown in at a few points. Basically it's just writing those melody lines, and partially just Hellman's style.

Yeah your right, i think they only got in because of there age, they are still good, but anyone can make a nice melody and add some fast stuff in with it like they did.
