On this, he definatly used an American Strat. Otherwise he used a mix of vintage strats and heavily distorted gibsons, until the late 70's and into the 80's when sometimes he would go in for superstrat models like the Ibanez' Charvels and Jacksons. But he always seemed to mave a place in his heart for good old reliable Gibsons and Strats. A magnificent player through and through.
