Although I was born 84 this song reminds me of my childhood. Such a sweet song. It doesn't matter what age you are, everybody is searching for a Heart of Gold. Haven't found mine yet and I'm gettin' old ;-) love you Neil.

Ah - the Godfather of Grunge...when he was young (tho' he hasn't ESSENTIALLY changed, so far as i can see)...dontcha love this song?? Yeah, it's a little simplistic, a tiny bit pat...but so heartfelt, so sincere, and with such a 'hooky' melody which sticks in your mind and has you humming in no time - a kind of a 'lost innocence' song, am i right? Love the entire album this cut is off - one memorable song after another; fab stuff!!!

not sure who you've seen live, but "most" sounds like a huge overstatement
