whatever the implications, anyone using analytics provided by google, is at hand in the implementation.

they profess to open the web to users, but unfortunately, in their little experiment
there is a bit of cicularity at play. they might think they are opening up doors for goal oriented surfers. they might be opening doors, and showing the way, but google isn't necessarily doing it on an the "great infinite open web." They're opening doors in the Google network on the web. the web isn't even a web, it's an archipelago. the google network is an attempt to implement a web.

if you use analytics, you are doing as he says, understanding the users intentions.
google has access to all that data too, they most likely compile all data from accounts. i'm sure they use they use that data to either reinforce their assumptions, further some task, or use it to generate new assumptions.
it's just a matter of what stage their in. |
