Brilliant performance of the greatest piece of music in Opera! His high C at the end was dramatic and beautifully executed and sustained which is the piece de resistance of this masterpiece! This is the first time I heard of this artist and his version was breathtakingly magnificent! Clearly one of the world's late great tenors! Standing Ovation!!!

role of a heavier fach(as many singers have done in the past, which hs lead to the destruction of many beautiful voices, Carreras, Di Stefano, Alagna to a point to mention a few) does not in any case mean that he is a singer of this vocal fach. Domingo, took up more than 120 roles. Do you actually think that they were of his fach? Lohegrin? For God's sake. Aragall was a lyric voice as was Domingo and Carreras, the only thing being that Domingo had a problem with high notes, Not due to voice weight

Your choice of the word delusional depicts a not so good attitude towards a debate over the arts. I could use heavier expressions howeveer i will refrain at this point, hoping that it was just a accident. Now, there have been many expressions used to describe different voice categories, tenore leggero-tenore di grazia, this is as in the case of robusto-drammatico, I am not coming up with this stuff, I have seen it in many high books on the topic. Furthermore, the fact that a singer takes on the

7.Carreras sung not only spinto, but dramatic roles too Radames, Samson, Stifellio, Manrico etc. In those roles he is better than many natural dramatic voices. Aragall's voice is between Domingo's and Carreras's one so... We have no good quallity recordings of Caruso, so we can not discuss about his voice argumentally. Gigli was best belcanto tenor (full lyric) of 20th century his teqhnique was soupreme.

Copleat delussional opinion, my friend. 1.Robusto tenor is robusto (ringing powerful) 2.Dramatic is (tenore di forza) 3.Villazon's and Domingo's voices are very simillar. 4.Domingo sang Lohengrin which demands Wagnerian meassure of voice, while Pavarotti never! 5.Lanza had one of the largest voice in world of opera and baritonal colour, so about which lyric voice are you talking.

(continued) than a dramatico. Carreras hurt his voice due to his trying to play spinto roles. Aragall another great voice, I would ssay was a full lyric voice. Nevertheless these are all great singers(some more than others) in my opinion two best Corelli and Bjoerling and then the top five are completed by Del Monaco Caruso and Gigli. A Dramatico(Robusto) a spinto and a full lyric.

The Helden Tenor part is fine, you could or should add Ramon Vinay there. Robusto and dramatic are the same though, at least where ever I have read of these categories. Villazon is no Dramatic Tenor, though, I really like him by the way,he is a good lyric voice. Domingo, I have not heard live, but my teacher who has swears that pavarotti had a larger voice and I believe that too from what I have heard. Lanza, Lyric too. Spinto lyrico and spinto are one again. Corelli was more a spinto,

Realy it is so: Heldentenor: Vickers, Melchior, Tanner. Robusto: Del Monaco, Corelli, Cura. Dramatic: Lanza, Domingo, Villazon. Spinto: Lauri Volpi, Aragall. Lyrico spinto: Bergonzi, Carreras, Alagna. Full lyric: Pavarotti, Di Stefano, Alvarez Lyric: Kraus, Licitra, Vargas. Legero: Alva, Diego Florez.
