its a grood tutorial but i dont understand what or how these dictionary files are and how they are made. ive got SQL 3.6.17 (airolib) and i dunno what the fuck to do with it. ive tried makin a normal txt. fie with over 5500 words n phrasses but when i direct aircrack to it, it just says 'no such directory'

elanorskelter, WPA/WPA2 is way stronger than WEP. To really "secure" your router, you should use WPA/WPA2 and a strong pass. WPA cracking will only work if the password is in the password list. Also, change the SSID to something unique. This will make your router invulnerable to pre-computed hash tables. Basically, strong WPA really strong WPA pass and change your SSID, this should keep all the hackers out. (If you really paranoid, you can also setup MAC filtering)

That's a HEX key. Try inserting in HEX format and not ASCII

just out of curiosity, what kind of protection are you using on your network? since ive heard so much bad about wep/wpa, i just have some crappy wep protection just as one layer of security incase. but how can i really lock it down from attacks like this.
