This is the most beautiful appearance Teresa had, in my opinion anyway. The dress and the melody were perfect. Yet, the situation depicted by the lyrics was so dreadful and her enunciation so clear that I couldn't block it out of my head. Oh, Life can be so cruel.

TuboEspectador My pleasure. Why not look up Zhou Xuan in Youtube too? Cant say she or Teresa is better.I like both jus as much. To me, the 2 are Queen of Songs. Only pity Zhou Xuan did not have advantage of stereo sound recording in her time. She was in my grandparents' time. I heard her on air when I was a kid. So, when Teresa covered her songs years later, I was happy she did do justice to the legend who first made these songs famous. Pity nobody write songs like that anymore.

Nanyanguo, Thanks so much for that link to Zhou Xuan. It helps me better understand the background of this video and the songs. Yes, no matter who is the master, the student stands on her shoulders, as should be the case. But who will truly stand on the shoulders of Teresa Teng? :(

I have no chinese blood in my at all, and I am completely in love with Teresa Teng. I was born at the wrong time, sadly, to ever see her live in performance. I would have loved that!
