I have the PSP-290 on my slim. Would this work for 4.05 firm? I downloaded the necessary applications but it's either giving me file corrupted or error (80020148). Can someone help me to resolve this problem?

you DONT need a wifi hotspot, all you need is the gps addon for psp, a hacked psp, and the map this! application, whoever says you need a wifi hotspot doesnt know shit about how gps works thats why its called a GLOBAL Positioning System, meaning being able to be located from ANYWHERE in the world, thats how gps works, by Satellite, hopes this answers your question

you need wifi to acceses the internet so you need to have a hotspot while you are riding which is impossible
