Listen to the words:
"I hear a thunder in the distance
See a vision of a cross
I feel the pain that was given
On that sad day of loss
A lion roars in the darkness
Only he holds the key
A light to free me from my burden
And grant me life eternally"
You don't have to be a "religious nut" to see that he is talking about the Crucifixion. Anyone with any amount of intelligence can understand that.
Oh, and stop being such a xenophobe.

Yes, clearly He is. Listen to the words "free me from my sin and give me life eternally."
Scott Stapp is a Christian. The other band members may be Christians. They sing about Christian things, but that doesn't make them a Christian band. They didn't want to be pigeonholed as that. Same with Evanescence. Many of the band members are Christian but Amy Lee has stated they are not a Christian band.
Nevertheless, Christians are human and make stupid mistakes like everyone else.

If you saw behind the music, he wrote this song after his grandparents paid for his apartment, but he still had no electric, no tv, or furniture, and he was at a crossroads in his life and that's when he started writing this song and realizing he needed to stop blaming everyone else for his failures and accept responsibility for 'creating my own prison'. Probably creed's best CD. Time for creed to get back together.

Me too. They should never broke up. They are the best band in the late 90's.
