Daniel lost his life on October 12th, 2004, fighting the war on terror in Iraq for you and me. One of the greatest honors in Kory Brunson's life was when Daniel's father Dave used this song for his son's memorial DVD. That was more important then any gold record or Grammy ever could be. Kory Brunson said. This song was written out of the realization that our children sleep safe each night, defended by a few brave families that have sent their children into harms way. Some will never return. It's about honoring those we've lost and letting our American warriors and defenders (both past and present) know that we appreciate them, and they are not forgotten."
