"Fuck all of you faggots who think elton john sucks cuz he's gay." Anyone else enjoy the irony here?

Beautiful song. Who ever doesn't like him because he is gay should re-think themselves who knows maybe in your last life you were in his shoes and just or even more gay, or your next life as Karma for you, you will be gay.

It don't matter if he's gay or not. If you like his music...enjoy it. If not..go find somehting you do enjoy. Just try to be happy. It's hard enoug to control oneself..let alone everything else in the world..like if someone is a peter puffer or not. Shit!

No-ones mentioned what this song did for Tony Danza's career!

Fuck all of you faggots who think elton john sucks just cuz he's gay. He's got more talent in one finger than you do anyways. Plus he one of the most amazing artists of all time

I completely agree that lyrics are important, but great lyrics to terrible music and singing doesn't get heard. A great song with stupid lyrics can still be something amazing. With that said, I don't feel Bernie Taupin for the most part even writes good lyrics. I love the lyrics for this song, and definitely some others, but overall he's not very talented in my opinion. A lot of his lyrics seem to be put together simply to rhyme. Again, I love the lyrics to this song, and Goodbye Yellow.

I agree that Elton's piano and tune et cet are what makes the song, but you can't get away with just disregarding the lyrics as unimportant. The lyrics tell a story when you listen to them, and make the song so much more meaningful. If all the lyrics to 'Candle in the Wind' was la-la-la-la, then would anyone have been reduced to tears at princess di's funeral? |
