Amazing Mermaid Scene From "Splash"

Daryl Hannah as a mermaid! Love this! I envy her so much Lol! Some of the questions that has been asked sooo many times about this video is .. "Is she actually underwater for the whole time?" "Is it a stuntwoman?" "How does she hold her breath for so long?" - Just to clarify, it was actually Daryl Hannah the whole time underwater...one of the main reasons she was chosen for this part was because of the fact she could hold her breath for a whole minute underwater without realeasing bubbles and she looked the most realistic. They did actually have a stuntwoman orginally but they thought she looked so natural and more realistic than the stuntwoman underwater, they preferred to use her instead. Also the clips in this scene were very short..as you can see in this one...the clips only last for a couple of seconds each because she could stop and a rescue team nearby could give her some air and then she could carry on.
