i heard about a concert where jimi has ago on mitch's kit in the middle of a jammy type song while mitch is playing em as. sorter like to drummers playing cross rythm or whatever on the same kit

I'm not sure if he could play them. I have that picture (digital, not the original) but I don't think he ever played them. It looks like he's just fiddling around on Mitch's kit.

Not just "some" wine. Pretty sure that's specifically what did him in. I've known a couple people that died like he did, but just from alcohol, no pills. The sleeping pills weren't lethal, and its very possible he never would have woken up even if he didn't take them.
