5 - Ghengis Khan - Andy Warstar & the Warstars

On 06/21/05, Andy Warstar joined forces with Apollo Warstar to regroup Warstars, the underground alternative rock band from southern Oregon. The event? The World Peace & Prayer Day Festival. Though Andy and Apollo jammed for months on all their punk songs before this performance, the promoters asked at the last minute for Andy and Apollo to "keep the mood light..." So instead of punk rock, the Warstars opted to play alternative folk rock versions of their songs. This video is just one of several rare videos taken by Apollo's mom. And though Apollo had played in other great bands, this was his first live gig with Warstars. It was also his last. However, it is fortunate to be able to watch these rare moments of some truly sweet and classic Warstars gems, rough cut as they are.
