This clip shows a magnificent funnel cloud, from maturity until it dissipates. Filmed by my wife Zoe, (with vocal accompaniment by my then 16 month old son Luke - Turn the volume DOWN!!). © Robert Tarling 2007.

That funnel has a great shape at 31 secs!

tornadoes are different in the UK, not as heavy of rotation, anti cyclonic (usually), and no present wall cloud. nice clip.

lol - or turn the volume down ;-). He was 'frightened' by the sudden speed in which I'd shouted down to the wife to get the camcorder!...

Hello, if you download the clip, and play it at twice speed (or more), there is infact clear anti-cyclonic rotation. I have a much-more high-res clip which is available if needed where everything is clearer. The same applies to the rotating thunderstorm that was shot a short while earlier. Thanks to everyone for their comments.

Almost positive that isn't a funnel cloud.. There is no wall cloud anywhere to be seen no rotation and the clouds look too weak to even spawn a tornado in the first place nice try but this is just a pointy cloud formation looking as if a funnel cloud.
