actually kil's contribution to the band has definitely increased with the insertion of piano/organ parts to incubus' newer material. Though i do agree it would be cool to let him freestyle a little bit more.

I agree.
He usally has a solo after sad sick. and he cues in warmth. other then that he stands in the shadows of mike and brandon.
