I went with the stock motor, but bought a 7 cell 4200 pack and put in a 7 cell speed controller that I had lying around.

well I think I will win on the track since my Rustler on the track was doing ok and it is stock. And the Traxxas models are made for bashing and I got the Rustler to do that. Now I want a racer since there was a new track that opened up in Hunnington and I will probably go there 6 times a year. So that's why I am wondering if I want the T CR since people say it is only made for the track and the track only. But then I will have to take the bad electronics from the Rustler and put them in there

I haven't driven a Rustler, but I will say that the Desert Truck is based around a race truck design. I don't recall if the Rustler draws anything from the Blue Eagle LS (old Traxxas race truck), but even if it did that would be a 10+ year old design. If you intend on the Desert Truck would be the better option. |
