When someone mentions full-size off-road race trucks, thoughts of desert racers throwing up rooster tails of sand behind tires struggling for traction instantly come to mind. While there have been 1/10-scale "off-road" trucks since the late '80s, they've never looked quite right. They've always been a compromise between looks and functionality. This is no longer the case as Losi has captured the look, feel, and experience of these full-size desert warriors and brought this experience to the RC world with the exciting 1/10-Scale RTR Desert Truck. We had an opportunity to get close to this new beast to see what sets it apart from any other RC vehicle out there. Click on the video below to get the inside line on the Losi 1/10-Scale RTR Desert Truck.

I went with the stock motor, but bought a 7 cell 4200 pack and put in a 7 cell speed controller that I had lying around.

well I think I will win on the track since my Rustler on the track was doing ok and it is stock. And the Traxxas models are made for bashing and I got the Rustler to do that. Now I want a racer since there was a new track that opened up in Hunnington and I will probably go there 6 times a year. So that's why I am wondering if I want the T CR since people say it is only made for the track and the track only. But then I will have to take the bad electronics from the Rustler and put them in there

I haven't driven a Rustler, but I will say that the Desert Truck is based around a race truck design. I don't recall if the Rustler draws anything from the Blue Eagle LS (old Traxxas race truck), but even if it did that would be a 10+ year old design. If you intend on the Desert Truck would be the better option.
