It's obvious that he's only half-joking but... (1) If he's joking, but deep-down he thinks downloading music is OK, then he's cool (2) If this is his way of (like a commentator below me suggested) discouraging downloading through reverse-psychology, it's kind of lame and uncool. (3) If he truly doesn't care or is confused about the issue, and he's just making a joke, then hey, it's sort of funny but not anything to flip out about. At least he's getting some fun out of his fame!

i can't justify downloading music as much as the next guy, but i can say that i find friggin cds still overpriced. 10 dollars for a cd would be fine, but even then i probably won't pay for an artists music when the convenience of putting it right on your ipod from your computer is free. I will say i will support a new artist, because they are the ones who get hit hard from this industry that is in a downward spiral.
