Fit, no comment against you, but Jeeze. Women have been breast feeding since the dawn of humanity! Now, we need a "lactation consultant"?? My wife would've spit in your eye. (And we had 4 kids). My wife is extremely feisty. (35 Years). I still love her, dearly. But, what the heck? Is the human race getting that inept?? What's next? Conception consultant? (Put this in there). I'm very worried. =Stefan=

As a lactation consultant myself, I was sorry to see that this LC doesn't empower the mother to let her baby self-attach, and uses outdated advice and hands-on methods to get the baby on. And his attachment isn't complete - you can see him pulling on and off! If mum leans back and lets baby lie on top of her, he may self-attach and get on more deeply. See Biological Nurturing website. And Tanneyah - feeding shouldn't hurt or do damage. Find another specialist! I can help you if you like.

TanneyahG, breastfeeding shouldn't hurt and should certainly not make you bleed. I suggest you find another specialist! Feel free to email me, I may be able to put you in touch with someone. Alison
