why doesnt she just sing the bloody song, instead of making up notes?! it doesnt in anyway add to the drama of the song, it just makes her sound awful.

The original in the first stage production (June 1978) was Elaine Paige; this was in the West End, London. In september 1979, Patti Lupone opened in the Broadway production.
